History
OPEN cycles started as a collaborative effort between Andy Kessler and Gerard Vroomen, two cycling industry veterans, to create some of the best mixed-surface bicycles in the world. Their designs paved the way for an entirely new way of thinking about bicycle design, and encouraged riders to take their drop bar bicycles off the beaten path.
Innovative Design
Exploring on a road bike requires bigger tires, and bigger tires require more clearance. OPEN was the first to drop the chainstay on their frames, allowing more clearance without compromising frame strength or chain line.
Versatility
With excellent road manners and clearance for up to 2.4 inch tires, OPEN has created a lineup of frames that are equally at home in a fast group ride or bushwhacking in the backcountry.
