With Prelaunch, the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Preorders.

So, instead, you can submit your email address for the item you are interested in, and we will email you as soon as stock arrives in the system.

SHIPPING (Continental U.S.)

  • Orders usually ship one business day after being placed.
  • Please note that some items may be subject to additional shipping and handling charges because of size or weight.
  • Sorry, but we do not ship outside of the Continental U.S.

IN-STORE PICKUP

Most orders will be ready within one business day. Please keep in mind that some items may require additional processing time to transfer from off-site locations. Other items may require additional processing time for assembly. We will call or email you once your order is ready for pickup. If you need an item right away we ask that you call us to confirm that the product is available before heading over to our store. Unless special arrangements are made in advance, orders need to be picked up within 15 days or a 10% restocking fee will be charged.

INFORMATION SECURITY

We protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts all of the information you provide to us and prevents outside parties from being able to "see" your transaction information. When your account information is displayed on your screen, we only display the last five digits of your credit card numbers. You also have the choice of whether or not to save credit card information with us in your Online Account.

BACKORDERS

Occasionally, some items are unexpectedly out of stock or unavailable and may be backordered. If this should occur, we will only bill your credit card for merchandise that is actually shipped. The total shipping charge for orders split into multiple shipments will not exceed the amount quoted on original order.

RETURNS

We hope you love your purchase from Pete's Garage, but if you don't we'll make every effort to exchange or refund your purchase. Please see below for details of our return policy.

  • Full refunds or exchanges will be given only for items in their original unused condition with tags in place and within 30 days of purchase.
  • Returns must be accompanied by the original receipt or credit card used for purchase
  • Items with a gift receipt or without original receipt or proof of purchase will be returned for store credit
  • For items purchased online, return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility
  • Clothing items deemed to be defective may be sent directly to the manufacturer. We're happy to provide assistance with this process if needed
  • All returned bicycles and special order items (including items marked "in warehouse") will be subject to a 20% restocking fee
  • Closeout items, final sale items, and demo or used items may not be returned.

OPEN the PossibilitiesThis frame is incredibly versatile, and further blurs the line between road and mountain bike disciplines as a class leading cyclocross bike. The 3 members of the U.P. (Unbeaten Path) range from OPEN all combine a road riding position with clearance for mountain bike tyres. Get yourself out of town on an adventure. Leave home on asphalt, then start grinding up gravel roads or carving down some flowy singletrack. Your riding position gets you there quickly and efficiently; the big tyres give you the grip and confidence you need to feel unstoppable.

U-turn ForkOPEN designed a new fork that accepts flat-mount calipers without the need for an adapter. So you can get your Shimano or SRAM flat-mount caliper, remove the standard adapter it comes with, and bolt it directly onto the fork. This saves weight and increases the stiffness of the braking system. The U-turn fork doesn’t just save you weight on the flat-mount brake, it is also extremely light itself. At 375 grams, it is by far the lightest fork that fits GravelPlus tyres. And to save even more weight, it is comes with an extremely light 12mm Carbon-Ti custom axle

TRCinTRS TechnologyMaking a frame entirely out of 100% high modulus (stiff) carbon is not a good idea, especially when there are areas like the headtube that receive big impact loads. Stiffer carbon is more brittle, so it’s not appropriate for all parts of a frame. OPEN have used the stiffest carbon of any bike manufacturer in areas where possible, and used tougher, slightly more flexible grades of carbon where needed.

Flat-out downtubeThe downtube is the key for stiffness, connecting the steering centre of your frame with the drivetrain. The flat-out downtube’s characteristically flat outside faces allow us to strategically place strips of ultra-high modulus carbon far away from the centre plane.

Tyre clearanceThis frame fits 27.5” (650B) mountain bike tyres up to 2.1” wide. But you can also fit a 40mm cross tyre, or a 28mm road tyre, or anything else in-between (exact tyre sizes depend on manufacturing tolerances and rim width, so this is a guideline. Always make sure you have 6mm clearance between tyre and frame). You’ll hardly notice a difference in geometry swapping 700c cross/road and 650b mountain bike tyres on this frame. This frame sports a very short 420mm rear end, designed to accommodate 650B wheels rather then 29inch, enabling much quicker, more responsive handling.
