Prelaunch

With Prelaunch, the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Preorders.

So, instead, you can submit your email address for the item you are interested in, and we will email you as soon as stock arrives in the system.

The dates we provide are based on information given by our suppliers. Whenever we get updated information from our suppliers we will endeavor to update the Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates provided on product pages.

Returns and Shipping

SHIPPING (Continental U.S.)

  • Once placed, most online orders ship within one to two business day. Bike purchases that require shipment will take an additonal two to four days for processing and packaging. Orders placed after 12pm CST on Fridays through Sundays will process on the following Monday.
  • Please note that some items may be subject to additional shipping and handling charges because of size or weight.
  • We do not ship outside of the Continental U.S.

IN-STORE PICKUP

Most orders will be ready within one business day. Please keep in mind that some items may require additional processing time to assemble. We will call, text or email you once your order is ready for pickup. If you need an item right away we ask that you call us to confirm that the product is available before heading over to our store. Unless special arrangements are made in advance, orders must be picked up within 30 days, after which time the items will be returned to the shop and in-store credit issued under the purchaser's name.

BACKORDERS

Occasionally, some items are unexpectedly out of stock or unavailable and may be backordered. If this should occur, we will only bill your credit card for merchandise that is actually shipped. The total shipping charge for orders split into multiple shipments will not exceed the amount quoted on original order.

RETURNS

We hope you love your purchase from Pete's Garage, but if you don't we'll make every effort to exchange or refund your purchase. Please see below for details of our return policy:

  • All bicycle sales are FINAL.
  • Full priced items are eligible for exchage or refund within 30 days of the purchase. Eligible items must remain in new, unused condition with all original packaging intact. Proof of purchase required.
  • Sale items are eligable for in-store credit or exchange only. Proof of purchase required.
  • Closeout items or clearance items (defined as any items marked below 50% of MSRP) are FINAL SALE.
  • Specail order items are subject to a 20% restocking fee upon return.

WARRANTY CLAIMS

Warranty claims will be addressed in a manner consistent with the manufacturer's guidelines and only on items purchased at Pete's Garage. In instances where the manufacturer does not cover labor, charges will apply to execute warranty repairs.

The Garmin Varia RearVue 820 tracks vehicles up to 175 meters (191 yards) away. It provides audible and visual alerts on compatible Edge cycling computers, Garmin smartwatches, or the Varia app on your smartphone. Users can see alerts for small, medium, and large vehicles, including movement and threat levels.

Same-speed tracking allows you to stay alert to vehicles following behind or attempting to pass. The taillight is visible from up to 1.24 miles (2 km) away. A brake light feature displays a unique flash pattern to show others you are slowing or stopping.

The device offers up to 24 hours of battery life in day flash mode and up to 30 hours in radar-only mode. It features four light patterns: day flash, night flash, solid mode, and peloton mode, which uses a lower-intensity flash for group riding. Light output reaches up to 100 lumens in day flash mode. Custom light patterns can be created in the Varia app. The sleek, compact design and seatpost mount fit most road or gravel bicycles.
